Manufactured in 1938 during the first year of production and shipped August 12 of that year with shipping addresses listed as Seattle Hardware Co, Seattle, Washington, and Arrow Hardware, Honolulu, Hawaii. Polished blue finish with match target barrel, matted top strap, adjustable target sights, and checkered walnut wrap-around elephant ear grips inset with silver rampant Colt medallions. Complete with a dual tone magazine marked on the base plate "COLT WOODSMAN / CAL. 22 L.R. / MATCH TARGET MOD." Complete with 1983 dated factory letter. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Excellent, near new. Virtually all of the original factory blue is retained with only light handling marks. Grips are likewise especially fine with scattered light impressions. Very fine mirror bore. A fantastic example.
