Second model manufactured circa 1857. Features include a bright polished blue 3 - 1/2" octagon barrel, 2-line Hartford address, pin front sight, frame notch rear, 5-shot .28 caliber percussion cylinder rolled with Indian fight scene, spur trigger, and 1-piece varnished walnut grips. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Especially fine. The vast majority of the factory blue retained with some thinning and spots of loss fading to gray patina. Cylinder scene remains sharp. Hammer displays a few bright flashes of case color. Grips are especially fine with only light marks. Bore displays strong, well defined rifling. Mechanically fine.
