Made at Mauser in 1940. 4" round blued barrel with standard sights. Blued finish matching "1940" coded action and "42" code toggle with Mauser "(Eagle) / 655" proofs. Correct mismatched aluminum bottom unmarked magazine. Factory checkered walnut matching 2-piece grips. All matching numbers, except magazine, all correct markings, and no import markings. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Overall 98% original military finish. Good grips with sharp checkering. Good mechanics, bright bore with visible rifling. Visible markings.
