Made by J.M. Marlin Company in 1902. Blued finish 24" octagonal barrel with large factory blade front sight and rear notch adjustable sight; Marlin two-line address and "25-20 M" caliber stamping. Case-hardened frame marked "Marlin Safety" with plain trigger and full blued magazine tube. Standard walnut stocks with steel crescent buttplate and what appear to be factory-installed sling swivels. CONDITION: 95% fading blue, turning to a silvery gray patina with some discoloration and scratches. 90% fading case colors with colors starting to fade to a silvery brown with several dings on the top. 90% original varnish with some scrapes and bruises and a light linseed oil coat added. Mirror bore with crisp mechanics.
