Made by Springfield Arsenal circa 1925 and sold by the N.R.A. 24 - 1/2" round blued steel barrel marked "SA/ (Flaming Bomb) / 9-26" in .22 Long Rifle with hooded front sight and drilled and tapped for a Fecker 10X scope (comes in wooden storage box) and Lyman 48 receiver sight. Blued frame marked "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY / MODEL OF 1922 / M1 / CAL.22" with plain trigger and blued detachable magazine; bolt numbered to gun. Standard finger groove pistol grip configuration walnut stock with N.R.A. steel buttplate. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: 98% barrel blue with light handling marks. 98% varnish. Small handling marks and dings overall. Good bore and crisp mechanics. Slightly cloudy optics.
