Lot consists of: (A) US Civil War Navy officer's belt and interlocking buckle. Gilded brass interlocking 2-piece buckle, folded and sewn black leather belt, complete with both sword straps. Small gilded brass frame adjusting buckle on one side of the belt. Pliable, with some surface dryness along its edges with scuffs and other scattered blemishes. (B) Waist belt plate, regulation 1851 pattern enlisted buckle with belt. This style has the applied German silver wreath with 2 additional wreath sections above the eagle's wings. For similar examples, see pg. 379 in American Military Belt Plates. Belt and buckle are both unmarked. Nice patina to plate. Pliable belt with some surface dryness along its edges with scuffs and other scattered blemishes. (C) Regulation 1874 pattern sword belt plate marked "3X" on the reverse with a leather belt. Plate with nice patina, belt appears unmarked and remains pliable with scuffing, flaking, and other scattered blemishes. (D) Indian Wars M1874 enlisted belt and plate. Belt plate with a pleasing patina is unmarked. Leather belt is marked "H.O.R. 2nd Com." on reverse. Pliable leather with scattered creases and blemishes. (E) Civil War-era revolver holster. Although it seems stiff, the leather is somewhat pliable, despite being stored flat and unfilled. Various cracks and creases, belt loop intact, and flap opens. Possibly southern. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Good-very good.
