Circa 1935. Classic configuration with blued finish, tapered snub nose barrel marked "22 BANKERS / SPECIAL", blade front sight, frame notch rear, and 1-piece checkered walnut grips inset with silver rampant Colt medallions. Matching numbers observed on a frame and crane. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Near excellent. Nearly all of the factory blue is retained with some thinning on the backstrap and at the muzzle, a turn line also present. Grips appear to have been lightly cleaned at some point with a light coat of finish added, remaining otherwise very fine. Fine, bright bore. Mechanically fine.
