Approximately 6,500 produced circa 1866 to 1869 bearing Merrimack Arms address. Standard blued ctagon barrel with German silver blade front sight. Silver-plated brass spur trigger frame engraved on each side with loose foliates over punch dot backgrounds. Grips are 2-piece smooth rosewood. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel retains traces of original blue but otherwise displays gray patina. Frame exhibits a warm brass patina with significant portions of thinning silver plate present. Grips are fine with light marks and wear. Bore is bright and strong with some light cleaned oxidation spots. Mechanically fine.
