(C) The Revolutionary Worthies of the Medical Staff, 1891, 85 pp., wraps detached. (D) Medical Men of the Revolution, J.M. Toner, Phil. 1876, owner inscr. Robt. H. Hall, US Army 1887. Cloth, 140 pp. (E) Manuscript 1763 Mass. pay order for Dr. James Otis for treating sick soldiers in 1762; 1766 receipt by Dr. Samuel Stringer, Director General of Hospitals in the Northern Dept. in the Revolution; 1783 Connecticut pay order for John Rose Surgeon; 1788 ALS Barnabas Binney, Surgeon in the Revolutionary War; 1793 ALS Dr. Malachi Treat, physician general in the Revolution. 1799 letter of James McHenry regarding Invalid Pensioners for the state of Pennsylvania. He was Surgeon in the Revolution and on Lafayette’s staff; 1819 muster roll of hospital personnel at Ft. Independence, lists ward master and matron, signed by Surgeon’s Mate Light Artillery; 1805 pay receipt of William Shippen, founder Phil. Med. School, Dir. Gen. Med. Dept. of the Army in the Revolution; undated certificate by John Cochman as Commissioner of Loans. He had been Surgeon General of the Middle Dept. and then of the Continental Army and Director of Hospitals in the Revolution. Ex-Lattimer Collection. CONDITION: As shown with typical blemishes of old paper.
