Lot consists of: (A) Oliver Ellsworth ADS, 1 page, oblong octavo, Hartford, June 6, 1776. Order to "Pay Mr. Levi Allyn Twelve pounds, sixteen shillings, and one penny for his disbursements in taking possession of: "The fortresses of Ticonderoga and Crown point last year...." Also signed by Ez. Williams, another member of the Committee. Receipted on the verso as having been paid in 1777. Fold lines with light edge wear. Bold ink with legible writing. CONDITION: Good. (B) Oliver Ellsworth ADS oblong, 4" x 8", Hartford, August 24, 1775. Orders payment to Reverend Benjamin Boardman "toward his wages as Chaplain [sic] in the 2nd Regiment of Connecticut troops..."; one of the Regiments that served at Bunker Hill. Receipted on verso by John Norton Jr. on behalf of Benjamin Boardman. Fold lines with light edge wear. Bold ink with legible writing. CONDITION: Good. (C) Oliver Ellsworth ADS order to pay General Israel Putnam for wages and billeting due his company raised in 1775. Dated April 1776. Receipt of the money acknowledged on verso by his son, "Israel Putnam Jr. in behalf of his father". Edge wear with fold line and yellowing. Bold ink with legible writing. CONDITION: Good. All come with previous descriptions, (C) with receipt. All are Ex-Lattimer Collection and each comes with a James Spence Authentication Full Letter of Authenticity.
