DST. A very rare C. 1920's Tin Service Station Flange Sign for Converse Tires showing large detailed Tire graphic with unique script style and colors. CONDITION: Side one is overall excellent showing bright color & gloss with some moderate areas of surface scratching but showing excellent script with detailed Tire grip imagery. Side one shows some minor stain markings near the flange portion with light edge wear, (Score 80). Side two also shows excellent colors with some heavier areas of wear in the field as well as some light staining that may improve with some cleaning. Sign shows some light rusting and scratching with some minor paint loss at the lower edge, (Score 79). An exceptionally rare and well displaying example of unique and early Service Station advertising.
