Manufactured in 1880 with classic configuration for the period, 7 - 1/2" barrel in .45 Colt with blue finish and walnut grips. Additional features include blade front sight, "V" notch rear sight, single line barrel address, kidney-shaped low profile ejector rod head, and 3-line patent address on frame. Matching serial numbers observed on barrel, frame, trigger guard, butt, and cylinder. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Very good, with near all of the original bluing turned an untouched freckled gray patina, and remnants of factory blue visible in well-protected areas. Grips are strong, with no major cracks and visible professional repairs to each grip panel. Left grip panel is hand carved with 3 "kill notches". Action is tight and crisp with all 4 hammer stops. Bore is dark with well-defined rifling.
