Manufactured in 1939 with features including 5 - 1/2" barrel chambered in .357 Magnum with single line barrel address, blade front sight, "V" notch rear sight, color case hardened frame, and checkered gutta percha grips with a Rampant Colt on either side in an oval. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining a vast majority of the original blue finish with minor handling marks and modest wear. Cylinder shows light freckling. Frame retains bright case colors. Grips are very good, with checkering sharp and chip to right grip panel near butt. Action is tight and crisp with all 4 hammer stops. Bore shows areas of heavy oxidation throughout and darkness near muzzle with visible rifling.
