Shipped December 26, 1923, to Hibbard, Spencer, Barlett & Company in Chicago, Illinois, as the only one of its type in the shipment. Letter lists original configuration as 5 - 1/2" barrel chambered in .32-20 WCF with blue finish, and stocks "Not Listed". Current configuration is the same as what is documented in the letter, excepting the stocks, which are the desirable checkered walnut "Fleur-De-Lis" grips featuring a Rampant Colt in a medallion on either side. Grips are hand numbered to the gun in pencil on each grip panel when removed in a factory style. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Excellent, with a vast majority of the original blue finish remaining overall, with heavily handled areas like front and backstrap having significantly more wear. Frame and hammer retain their case colors which are beginning to fade. Action is tight and crisp with all 4 hammer stops. Bore is lightly frosted with crisp rifling.
