Shipped October 24, 1927, to John Prizlaff Hardware & Co. Milwaukee, Wisconsin in a shipment of one. Letter confirms configuration as 5" barrel in .45 ACP with Not Listed finish and stocks (blue and checkered wood) and factory engraved. Engraving consists of floral scroll and wrigglework borders on slide panel markings and scattered accenting scrollwork on frame and small parts in total about 25% coverage. Mounted with a pair of ivory stocks with Rampant Colt medallions in either grip panel. Other features include half moon front sight, rounded top "U" notch rear sight, checkered slide stop, checkered thick tab safety, checkered short trigger, checkered magazine release, checkered spur hammer, and checkered rounded mainspring housing with lanyard loop. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Excellent, with about 90-95% of the original blue finish remaining with scattered light handling marks. Trigger is marked with evidence of a trigger shoe being installed. Grips show no major signs of distress. Mechanically fine. Bore is bright with sharp rifling.
