Shipped on February 2nd, 1939, to Lou Eppinger, Inc. in Detroit, Michigan, as a .32 caliber blued finish Grade A factory engraved gun in a shipment of the only gun of its type. Barrel length is blank and type of stocks are "Not Listed" indicating they were factory standard for the period. Currently configuration is as it left the factory as noted in accompanying factory letter, with Grade A factory engraving comprising of about 25% coverage floral scroll on a punchdot background with accenting borders on factory stampings. Currently mounted with 2 piece ivory grips inset with silver Rampant Colt medallions on each side; included are the correct checkered walnut factory grips inset with Rampant Colt medallions on each side. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Excellent+, with nearly all of the original factory bluing remaining with the exception of scattered minor handling marks and minor high edge wear. Both sets of grips are excellent with no major signs of distress. Mechanically fine. Bore is bright with sharp rifling.
