Shipped January 16, 1925 as the only gun in the shipment of its type to W.S. Brown & Co. for Roland Nicholson in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Included factory letter confirms configuration as 5 - 1/2" barrel chambered in .45 Colt with blue finish and stocks listed as "Checked Wood". Accompanied by a black leather-wrapped wood purple velvet lined French fitted case for a Colt SAA and a 50-round box of ammunition. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Excellent+ and near mint, with virtually all of the original bluing remaining. Frame retains brilliant case colors. Grips show no major signs of distress. Action is tight and crisp. Bore has fouling in the grooves but is overall lightly frosted with crisp rifling. Case is excellent.
