Manufactured circa 1937 in classic 4 - 3/4" configuration with blue finish, color case hardened frame, and 2 piece checkered gutta percha grips featuring a Rampant Colt in an oval on either side. Desirable features include King mirror ramped front sight, adjustable rear sight, and shortening of hammer cycle. Accompanied by an April 17, 1986, dated letter from Ronald Ogan of Ogan Antiques, Ltd. stating that he believes this revolver to be original with factory upgrades, and that the factory records for this revolver have been lost. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Excellent+, with nearly all of the original finishes remaining with scattered light handling marks and blue thinning at backstrap. Grips are in matching condition with no major signs of distress. Mechanically excellent with all 4 hammer stops. Bore is bright with sharp rifling.
