Manufactured in 1926 per serial number. Features include a 7 - 1/2" barrel with single line barrel address, blade front sight, "V" notch rear sight, low profile ejector rod head, color case hardened frame and hammer, and 2 line frame patent date. Mounted with 2 piece ivory grips inset with Rampant Colt medallions on either grip panel, checkering on left grip panel, and carved with a steer head on right grip panel. The accompanying letter from Colt states that the information for this Colt Single Action Army Revolver could not be located. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Excellent, with a vast majority of the original bluing remaining, with light handling marks and freckling throughout. Frame retains original case colors. Grips show no major signs of distress. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is bright with sharp rifling.
