A No. 11 round-wire double-guard wire-bottom lantern with 1895 patent date made by the Adams & Westlake Co. "Erie. R. R." is nicely embossed on the lid reflector. The bayonet fount is correct for this model and has a No. 2 ratchet burner affixed. The clear No. 39 extended base globe is embossed with the Erie diamond logo in average relief. The globe is cracked from the top in two places, on the left side and in the back. The lantern has been cleaned and overcoated long ago and is dirty.
