A No. 39 double-guard brass-top bellbottom with bayonet base and adjustable chimney, made by The Railroad Signal Lamp & Lantern Co., but not hallmarked. The bayonet base has been cut out in the fount area and is missing. The edge of the base is heavily pitted. The rust to the frame shows light to medium pitting. "NYWS&BRy" is embossed on the lid reflector. The clear No. 39 extended base globe is nicely embossed "NYWS&BRy" in serif font and in above-average relief. There are normal rim flakes on the fitters.
