A steel guard No. 6 double-guard wire-bottom lantern made by The Railroad Signal Lamp & Lantern Co. "P. & R. R. R." is lightly embossed on the lid reflector. The bayonet fount is correct for this model and has a No. 2 ratchet burner affixed. The flashed red 6" extended base globe is nicely embossed "P&RRR" in serif font and above-average relief. Color translucence is a little dark. The frame shows light to medium pitting over the entire frame. The globe shows minor rim flakes on the top and bottom fitters.
