A real nice brass conductor's lantern "THE BOSS" model made by the H. C. Hart Co., of Adrian, MI. This predates the ILL'S hallmark. This model has a rotating wick raiser under the base, and a threaded, adjustable top globe holder. The brass shows light tarnish, and no stress cracks are evident. The split green/clear, hand blown globe is a real beauty. "F. M. BROOKS" is nicely engraved in old English font and is surrounded by intricate floral brackets that go all the way around the globe. A stunning piece!
