A Star Headlight Co., no. 39, double guard, bellbottom lantern with the correct bayonet base and no. 2 ratchet burner affixed. "M. R. R. Co." is nicely embossed on the lid reflector. The clear globe is a no. 39 extended base style, with "M. RY. Co." nicely embossed in above average relief and in an unusual font style. The lantern shows original patina with very light surface etching.
