A brass wire bottom conductor's lantern with a screw-on oil cup, probably made by A&W, but there's no maker's hallmark. There are several Wm. Westlake patent dates stamped into the underside of the fount cup. The ca. 1870s frame is straight with no stress cracking noted. It appears that this unit was once nickel plated, but that's mostly gone now. The clear, hand-blown globe is engraved "G M. SOWER"" in fancy cursive font, surrounded by a vine and flower cartouche.

Condition: (Very Good).

Item Dimensions: 6" x 6" x 11".
