A No. 39, single guard, bellbottom model made by the Steam Gauge & Lantern Co. (hallmarked lightly on the chimney). "O. I. & W. RY." is nicely embossed on the lid reflector. There is a tear in the reflector on the right rear side that has been partially repaired. The bayonet base is correct for this model and has a No. 1 "pick wick" lard tube affixed. There is a serial no. "2890" stamped in. The base has a 1/4" triangular piece missing at the edge, and some small pinholes in that area. There frame has a small amount of light pitting and evidence of cleaning long ago, The clear, No. 39 extended base globe is nicely embossed "I B & W" in large serif font in average relief. The top fitter has a large chunk of glass missing, and the bottom fitter also has a chip missing.
