A brass, No. 39, double guard, brass model with bayonet base made by the Kelly Lamp Co. (hallmarked on underside of base). The frame appears to have been nickel plated at one time, but plating on viewing surfaces is mostly gone. There is lightly tarnished brass showing now. The globe is a beautiful green/clear, hand blown, extended base example with "D. O. BRIEN" engraved inside of a floral cartouche. The globe's top fitter is ground, bottom is fire-finished.
