An early double guard, brass top bellbottom model made by the Steam Gauge and Lantern Co. (not hallmarked). "O.C.R.R." is nicely embossed on the lid reflector in serif font characteristic of predecessor Parmelee & Bonnell. The bail is attached to the frame verticals and there is a twist collar on the chimney that adjusts the globe holder vertically to clamp the globe. The bayonet base is correct for this model and has a glass fount assembly with a no. 1 Sangster shrouded burner affixed. The clear globe is a classic New England barrel with "O.C.R.R." copper wheel engraved in heavy relief. The lantern shows a real nice olive patina and is clean with no rust
