A No. 39 wire-bottom double-guard lantern made by C T Ham. "Erie R R" is nicely embossed on the lid reflector. The bayonet fount is correct for this model and has a No. 2 ratchet burner affixed. The signal green No. 39 extended base globe is nicely embossed "Erie. R. R. Co." in block font with above-average relief. Color translucence is good. The frame shows a dark aged-earned patina, with no significant rust and an old overcoat.
