(A) A Thompson's patent double-guard bellbottom with no hallmark. The plug-in fount is correct for this model and has a No. 1 Callendar burner affixed. The bail saddle secures in the lid with a brass ferrule. The signal green globe is a classic New England barrel, with a faint slug plate and no RR markings. There is a serial No. "18117" stamped into the chimney top. Condition: 8.0, Very Good. (B) An Armspear No. 39 steel guard model with later-style bayonet fount and No. 2 ratchet burner. "C. N. E. Ry." is embossed on the lid reflector. The emerald green No. 39 extended base globe is not RR marked and has a heavy feel. There is little sign of RR use. Condition: 7.0, Good. There are a few pinholes in the outer edge of the lid reflector.

Condition: (Good - Very Good).
