A plated pewter cast trumpet with ornate engraving and embossing. Engraved "PRESENTED TO W.B. THOMAS HOSE CO. No. 3 by EX-CHIEF W.B. THOMAS NOVEMBER 19, 1906." Trumpet has ornate bell and shows old steam fire pumper, ladders, fireman's hat, axe, other fire fighting tools in two side panels on the bell. The bell is embossed in ornate scrollwork with birds. The bell has 8-3/4" diameter opening. The unit shows light tarnish. There is an original old gold, braided and tasseled sash cord affixed in nice eagle's bills. There is a copper-painted, upholstered display pedestal with twisted center shaft detail included with this lot.
Condition: (Excellent).
