A Fairbanks Morse “Baby Train Master.” While this plate is of different construction - stainless steel - compared to the prior cast brass it is of the same basic class H16-66. Serial #16L-982, Built 9-1955 for the Chicago & Northwestern Railway. Locomotive number 1695 with a different exterior hood design. The plate shows soiling and some green overpaint on the edges. Back of plate shows rust from abutting surface.
