Pre-Model 23 manufactured circa 1954-1955. Polished blue finish with case hardened trigger and hammer. Pinned, tapered, round barrel with serrated raised rib, partridge front sight, and micrometer click rear. Square butt N frame. Grips are diamond checkered walnut Magna stocks; also accompanied by a later set of oversized target grips. Revolver is housed in a Smith & Wesson branded wood display case with tools. CONDITION: Near excellent. Bountiful amount of lustrous factory blue are retained with some muzzle wear, high edge silvering, a turn line and other marks. Visible but faded case colors. Grips retain sharp checkering with only light marks. Excellent mirror bore. Mechanically fine. Case is very good.
