American. This is a 1970s reproduction of the very rare Ives 444 no. 1694 locomotive. Original Lionel pre-war motor was inserted into this reproduction locomotive. Very nice matching colors to the original. Locomotive is detached from frame. Also includes Ives no. 114 freight station with litho sides and handpainted base. Some paint loss to roof.
