Made by J.M. Marlin Firearms Company circa 1915. 28" octagon blued Special Smokeless steel barrel with Marlin address in .38-55 with sheared blade front sight and buckhorn rear sight. Case-hardened takedown frame receiver marked "MARLIN SAFETY" with plain trigger and blued magazine tube. Standard checkered walnut pistol grip configuration stocks with checkered forearm and case-hardened steel buttplate. CONDITION: 98% barrel blue with 98% bright vivid case colors. 98% varnish. Small handling marks and dings overall. Good bore and crisp mechanics; the magazine tube has the wrong fastening screw.
