NVSN, .65 caliber, 47 inch barrel Hudson Bay flintlock. Brown finish, walnut stock, flintlock, lock marked D. Barnet behind hammer. Long nose Hudson Bay fox over warranted, barrel marked “LONDON”, brass butt plate, trigger guard and wrist escutcheon, “B.N.” on escutcheon, brass tack decoration on butt. Circa late 18th century. Condition: bore not a factor. Plum brown barrel and lock, oxidation on barrel and hammer near touch hole, crack in tang behind trigger guard, some wood missing, damage to ramrod barrels, excellent mechanically, very good marks.This is a high grade gun comparable to what are referred to as “Chief's Guns” or "Chief's Grade Guns," given to high ranking members of western Indian tribes by the British beginning in the early 19th century.
