Manufactured by J&E Stevens & Co. A rare and desirable bank. Circa World War I. No example of this bank has ever been found painted, attesting to the fact that this cast iron version, although advertised, never went into regular production. "Push a coin in slot of bank and the soldier will rise; 'called out' of his tent, ready for action." Only one of three known examples.
