Manufactured in 1914 for the Austro-Hungarian Empire as tensions boiled over in Europe and the Great War commenced. Standard configuration with heavy rust blue finish, strawed small parts, and 2-piece checkered walnut grips. Right side of frame proofed "W-n (Habsburg eagle) 14"; the slide also marked "STEYR 1914". CONDITION: Very good overall. A very nice example, retaining nearly all of its arsenal blue with only light wear at the front of the slide and on the lanyard loop. Grips display sharp checkering with nicks along the base, displaying well. Especially fine mirror bore. Mechanically fine. This would be an excellent addition to any World War I collection.
