Made by Haenel in Germany circa 1930s and customized by Gary Goudy of Dayton, Washington, at an unknown date. Plain 24" sporter weight sightless round blued steel barrel with blued floorplate. Blued finish Mauser 98 style receiver with polished bolt and adjustable trigger. Custom checkered claro walnut stock with cheekpiece, Niedner style checkered steel buttplate, ebony grip cap, and forearm cap. Gun is fitted with 2-piece scope bases. CONDITION: 98% bright barrel blue with light edge wear and 98% remaining action finish; bolt with slight handling wear. 98% hand-rubbed finish. Small handling marks and dings overall. Good bore with visible rifling. Crisp mechanics. A beautifully made rifle!
