Made by Smith & Wesson circa 1945 with very few made with this style of finish, roughly 10000. High polish blue 5 - 1/2" round pinned barrel with pinned blade front sight. Barrel has "S&W DA 45" marking on left, and Smith & Wesson address on top. High polish blue finish "S&W" marked double action frame with trigger guar and lanyard loop; cylinder with matching serial number. Case-hardened trigger and hammer. Factory checkered walnut diamond 2-piece grips with "S&W" logo silver finished medallions. All matching numbers with all correct markings. Comes in a correctly marked hinged purple factory box with a beige-colored interior, original grease paper, and factory paperwork. CONDITION: Overall 99% original factory finish with light turn line. 99% vivid case colors. Good grips with fantastic varnish. Good mechanics (original grease in corners) with bright bore with visible rifling and markings. Box and papers in good condition with box corners slightly tattered. A very desirable high-condition Smith & Wesson.
