Lot consists of: (A) World War II uniform named "H.M. Andersen" with trousers and hat. The jacket features captain rank on sleeves. The hat is also named to "Harvey Marvin Andersen / Captain United States Navy (RET.)" The uniform appears to be from the World War II era with restored ribbons, as evidenced by the "(RET.)" portion of the tag in the hat, the uniform was most likely worn by Andersen after the war for reunions and events. Andersen is listed as a recipient of the Navy Cross during World War II, as his ribbon rack reflects. The jacket and trousers exhibit light wear with scattered blemishes. Hat exhibits slight yellowing. There is also an unnamed Cold War era captain's uniform that was stored with Andersen's named uniform. CONDITION: Good. (B) Cold War US Navy rear admiral uniform named to "REAR ADM F.N. KIVETTE" on the label in the pocket of the jacket. This would be Rear Admiral Frederick Norman Kivette, who was awarded the Navy Cross and Navy Distinguished Service Medal for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States as Commander Seventh Fleet from August 1958 to March 1960 and as Commander Western Sea Frontier/Commander Pacific Reserve Fleet from March 1960 to September 1961. The uniform is dated 1958 but the ribbons were restored. The uniform exhibits scattered wear with light blemishes but is clean overall. CONDITION: Good.
