Circa 1861. 4" octagon barrel with 2-line Hartford address, brass pin front sight, and hammer notch rear. Cylinder rolled with partially legible stagecoach holdup scene. Scarce steel grip straps as is sometimes encountered in the 185,000 serial number range. Grips are 1-piece smooth walnut. Housed in attractive contemporary partitioned hardwood presentation case with eagle flask, 2-cavity Colts Patent mold, and UMC cap tin. CONDITION: Very good. Revolver exhibits an overall attractive gray patina with traces of original finish. Grips are very good with scattered impressions and some wear around the base. Very good, strong bore. Mechanically fine. Case displays well with some scattered marks from storage and display.
