Lot consists of: (A) WWII RAF Aircrew 1943 Pattern Escape Boots constructed of black leather and suede sheepskin-lined boots in the form of black leather Oxford style lace-up shoes and black suede with a sheepskin lining uppers, which are fastened by metal zippers, fitted off-centre, and secured by a single leather strap/steel buckle arrangements at the tops. Inside the right boot is a concealed pocket cut into the sheepskin lining, designed to contain a small knife, the knife is absent. Soles are leather with nails, boots are unmarked. Zippers function. The boots exhibit scuffs and other service wear, but are a nice intact and clean example. CONDITION: Good. (B) Pair of RAF 1936 Pattern style flying boots that most likely started their life as black leather flying boots that were refinished and are now a dark brown. The upper neck of each boot features an adjustment strap which is fastened by means of a steel buckle. The inside upper portion of each boot is lined with white lambs wool. No pull tabs on inside of boots. Boots were resoled and soles are marked "Cat's Paw / Won't Slip". The boots exhibit scattered cracks in the finish with a few small repairs to seams. CONDITION: Good.
