Made by E. Remington and Sons between 1863 and 1875. 8" octagonal blued barrel with Remington patent information and Remington address, chambered in .44 centerfire, and fit with German silver cone front sight. Period blued finished converted cylinder, blued frame with inspector's marks, brass trigger guard, and steel grip. Factory walnut unmarked 2-piece grips with matching numbers on the frame under grips. CONDITION: Overall good, with metal turning to a bluish-brown patina with some areas of discoloration. Brass is golden yellow from handling with grips in a natural oil-soaked state. Good mechanics. Dark bore with visible rifling and some pitting.
