Manufactured in 1856 by Colt's London factory. Fitted with a polish blued 6" octagonal barrel bearing 2-line London address and English crown over "V" and "P" proofs. 5-shot .31 caliber percussion cylinder rolled with stagecoach holdup scene and stamped with English proofs at each chamber, grip straps are silver plated steel. 1-piece smooth walnut grips. Housed in a lovely partitioned oak case with Dixon flask, Colt's Patent mold, tools, oiler, and English cap tin. CONDITION: Very fine. Barrel retains significant amounts of bright factory blue fading to gray patina. Cylinder largely gray patina with a legible scene. Brilliant case colors retained on frame and hammer, loading lever starting to fade. Grip straps display most of their age-tarnished silver. Grips are fine, some moderate wear and finish crackling present Case displays very well as cleaned with a few chips. A very nice set.
