Manufactured circa 1859 to 1864 bearing interesting "1111" serial number. One of a small number of sporting rifled built with brass frames. Blued 29 - 3/4" octagon barrel with 2-line address, blade front sight, and v-notch rear, as well as a folding lollipop tang sight. As with other first models, no cartridge extractor is present. Stocked in walnut with brass mounts. CONDITION: Fine. Original barrel finish has largely faded to plum. Brass retains a very pleasing mellow, untouched patina. Stock is very good with scattered marks. Especially fine bore. Mechanically fine.
