Manufactured from 1888 to 1897. Heavy 26" octagon barrel stamped on the top flat with E. Remington & Sons address. German silver blade front sight, and v-notch rear; missing the elevator. Case hardened rolling block action. Plain straight grip walnut buttstock with inlaid 8-pointed German silver star and crescent butt plate. Matching splinter forend with case hardened tip. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel has developed an attractive chocolate patina. Receiver and forend tip display a mottled silvery brown patina characteristic of case hardening. Stocks appear lightly cleaned with some scattered minor marks. Very good, strong bore. Fine mechanics.
