Decorations are patriotic, with a federal eagle and a panoply of arms with liberty cap. Blade with dark patina and faintly noticed fire blued panels. Stirrup guard with fluted ivory grip that exhibits scattered chips and wobbles when handled. Decorated pillow pommel with piece missing on obverse. CONDITION: Fair. (B) Circa 1790-1820 eagle pommel sword with straight blade that is decorated on each side for under half its length. Decorations are patriotic, with a panoply of arms with liberty cap. Blade with dark patina and faintly noticed fire blued panels. 5-ball guard and knucklebow with fluted bone grip that exhibits a nicotine patina. CONDITION: Fair. (C) Circa 1790-1820 eagle pommel sword with straight blade that is decorated on each side for under half its length. Muted decorations are patriotic and floral. Blade with dark patina and edge wear. Stirrup guard with fluted bone grip that exhibits a nicotine patina and wobbles when handled. CONDITION: Fair. (D) Circa 1790-1820 pillow pommel saber with curved blade that is decorated on each side for about half its length. Decorations are patriotic with federal eagle and panoply with liberty cap. Blade with dark patina and faintly noticed fire blued panels. Marked "Richards Upson / & Co / New York" on ricasso. 5-ball guard and knucklebow with fluted bone grip that exhibits a nicotine patina.
