"Edward H. Bohlin / Hollywood / CA" maker-marked sterling silver and three-color gold “Arizona” pattern buckle set with a 1” belt opening. Meticulous attention to detail on this American Southwest theme includes a twisted yellow gold rope edge, green gold cacti and rose gold mountain range. This iconic buckle was designed by Charlie Sample (1903-2003) during his tenure at Bohlin and first appeared in their 1941 catalog. Buckle alone measures 2 1/2” x 3” with a 1 1/8” x 3/4” keeper and 2 5/8” long tip. Outstanding condition, circa 1990s. The buckle set is attached to a stunning Howard Knight (Stevensville, MT) size 36 natural russet colored floral carved and filigreed leather belt with an alligator skin background and fully black laced border. The five flowers on the belt have raised gold pistil centers. Outstanding condition.
