48” long and 3/16” wide, 8 strands, 32-plait, romal reins with red interweaves. Stamped “IMV” on the popper. This is one of a very few pair of maker-marked Medina reins known to exist.
Luis Ortega was reported to have once quipped, after seeing a pair of Medina reins at the Snaffle Bit Futurity, “Guess there ain’t much I can show this ‘ole boy”, Unused condition, circa 1970s.
